Per-character pricing for transmission you don't control
Value-Added Networks charge per kilo-character transmitted, marking up bandwidth that costs them effectively zero. A typical mid-market shipper pays $30k–$80k/year in VAN fees alone.
Modern EDI for X12 and EDIFACT, exchange with every trading partner over AS2, SFTP, or API, with real-time visibility per document.
EDI is the rails of B2B commerce, and it still runs like it's 1997. Here's why the modern EDI stack hasn't materialized for most companies.
Value-Added Networks charge per kilo-character transmitted, marking up bandwidth that costs them effectively zero. A typical mid-market shipper pays $30k–$80k/year in VAN fees alone.
Each retailer publishes their own EDI implementation guide, 200 pages of segment requirements, qualifier maps, and version quirks. Onboarding takes weeks of testing per partner.
Most EDI tools log transmissions but don't surface failures in operational tools. A failed 855 (PO acknowledgement) means the customer waits, and your CSR finds out from email when the customer gets impatient.
Every tool Stacksync replaces is one fewer vendor, one fewer bill, one fewer integration to maintain.
Changes made in one platform automatically update across all connected systems in real time, eliminating data silos and reducing errors.
Stop building brittle API scripts. With Stacksync, you can trigger complex automated workflows using simple SQL commands.
Expose every enterprise system to your agents through a single MCP layer. Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini get production-grade tools without custom glue code.
Handle massive traffic spikes without losing a single event. Queues buffer your data during surges, ensuring strict ordering and reliable delivery.
Interact with your CRM, ERP, and payment tools as if they were just another table in your database. Say goodbye to rate limits and complex API documentation.
Transform legacy EDI complexity into simple database interactions. Stacksync automatically parses incoming EDI documents directly into your database tables.
Stacksync supports every major EDI document type over every modern transport, and surfaces every transmission as a first-class object in your OMS / ERP / WMS.
As a data company, we understand the importance of keeping your data secure. Stacksync is built with security best practices to keep your data safe at every layer, and is DPF-certified for US, EU, UK and CH data transfers.

Can we eliminate our VAN entirely?
For modern partners (most major retailers, all 3PLs), yes, direct AS2 or HTTPS API connections work fine. For partners who only accept VAN-routed traffic, Stacksync can connect via your existing VAN account or our shared one, but you only pay actual transmission cost, not bundled SKUs.
How quickly can we onboard a new trading partner?
Days, not weeks. Stacksync ships partner profiles for the top 200 retailers (Walmart, Target, Costco, Home Depot, etc.), pre-validated implementation guides, certified maps, and AS2 endpoints. Custom partners take 1–2 days.
What about acknowledgements and retries?
Stacksync handles 997 functional acks, MDN receipts (AS2), and SLA-driven retries automatically. Every document is durable and audit-logged from creation to delivery confirmation.
How do we monitor EDI in real time?
Every EDI document is a first-class object in Stacksync, query its status from the UI, dashboards, or your OMS. Failed transmissions trigger Slack/email/PagerDuty alerts before customers notice.
